Check both directions
Receiving calls to a number in one country does not establish outbound calling to every destination. Ask about supported destinations, caller identification and any geographic or residency conditions. Verify requirements with the provider before purchasing.
Compare the complete charge
Look for the recurring allocation charge, inbound and outbound rates, connection fees, rounding increments and any tax treatment. These notes do not quote live prices. Use the provider’s written tariff for the currencies and destinations relevant to you.
Make timing explicit
Australian states and territories do not all follow the same daylight-saving arrangements. Agree on the named time zone and date when organising an international callback. A fixed offset can become misleading across a seasonal change.
Test an ordinary use case
Before depending on a service, use its authorised trial or support process to check an ordinary call scenario. An isolated successful call does not guarantee future uptime. Plan an alternative route for important conversations.
