Keep tomorrow’s access in view.

Before a number changes

Read the platform’s official process while you can still access your account. Check which settings depend on the number, how a change is confirmed and whether another recovery method is available. Do not assume that cancelling a number updates an account automatically.

When access is shared

Establish who can read an inbox and remove access when responsibilities change. If a number is recycled, someone else may eventually receive messages sent to it. Clarify the provider’s allocation and cancellation process rather than guessing a retention period.

Keep secrets out of planning

A reminder can record a help-page address and a review date without storing credentials. The optional note below exists on this browser only; another person using the browser may see it. Clear it on a shared device.

A local continuity note

Only this browser stores the note. Use general questions; leave out account numbers, passwords and codes.
